Janet Street-Porter is an English personality, journalist, and broadcaster. She currently writes for Daily Mail online and The Independent. She has been in various television shows including Question Time, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity MasterChef, and Have I Got News for You. Before the Independent and the Daily Mail, Street-Porter was appointed by Alan Yentob to be head of youth and entertainment features of BBC in 1987. In 1994, she was promoted to head of independent commissioning before she left BBC for Mirror Group Newspapers to become joint-managing director of L!VE TV channel. She is most recognized for writing about various topics including politics, entertainment news, and more. Street-Porter often writes about news in America, as well as the United Kingdom.
