Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan is a British journalist and television personality. He currently writes for Daily Mail Online. Also, he has been in several television shows including America's Got Talent, The Celebrity Apprentice, Piers Morgan Tonight, Good Morning Britain, Britain's Got Talent, and Piers Morgan's Life Stories. In his early days he wrote for The Sun, News of the World, and The Mirror before he got fired because of falsified photographs of British soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners he posted. After Morgan's unpleasant exit from The Mirror, he joined the entertainment business as a media personality. Piers is most recognized for various shows for politics, entertainment news, and more. Morgan is featured in shows that are both aired in America and the U.K. through different sources such as CNN, NBC, and The Sun. For example, Morgan was recently featured in a short segment where on Good Morning Britain where he interviewed a sumo wrestler. The sumo wrestler was on the show to look for a date and to promote her being on the new show First Dates. Occasionally, he writes articles about international politics and news. Based on his wide variety of entertainment outlets, it appears that his audience for his writing appeals to the older generation. However, for his television shows, the audience appears to appeal to both the young and middle aged generation. Because his television shows are mostly pop culture entertainment based that is why it appeals more to the younger generation. While analyzing both the television shows Morgan has been on and the news articles that he has written, I'm able to determine that depending on what he's participating in he uses either a sarcastic, critical, or playful tone. His choice of words for his television shows and news articles can sometimes be very good, but other times what he says doesn't make sense. Since he has been in numerous shows, he has been know for having an amusing personality. His audience is able to understand and comprehend what he talks about in his shows and articles. Therefore, making what he does in both media outlets entertaining for his audience.
